The Last Night

Now, with the final 12 hours upon us (which is much less as it involves a sleep) will soon be around 2-3 hours. The last plans are to get up, sorted and out to be out to the break out rendezvous for 1100. This leaves a final hour to ensure we have everything we need, which includes our first getaway driver on cue for us to be away ASAP.

Getaway items include - passport, insurance, wallet, phone, food and a change of clothes. This seems about it, and we'll also have a stash that will include some items including a camera.

After this the world is our oyster. If anyone is actually reading this, then we are looking to keep things up to date on facebook updates (STATUS AND PICS). Radio 1 may also get a few calls so listen out throughout the day!

Thanks everyone, so far we have raised around £70 with more to come in, plus however much we raise depending how far we get.

See you around

The Final Prep

With less than 36 hours to go, the final preparations are being put into place. The disguises are ready, the drivers should be too although final contact before the 9th will be after I've slept. Last minute items are also going to be picked up aswell before we rest.

Apart from that not much else is happening. Donations are still being collected and if you wish to spend a small amount of money, then you can do it in the following ways

- Comment on here, to be added to the Facebook list/group
- Comment on Facebook group
- Donate to the justgiving site, to send the money directly to the Alzheimer's Society
- Contact me, if you wish to donate to us directly, which will help us with bus/train/plane/scooter rides, thus getting us further.

Thanks a bunch for keeping up-to-date with us - our journey is almost upon us.

Love, your charitable Uni superheroes,

Batman and Robin x

The Countdown

With just over 3 days to go, we're making our final preparations to the way out whilst the Uni has more fences than Fox River penitentiary.
The Batman and Robin costumes turned up yesterday and are awesome to the fact that we should look damn fine in Heathrow.
Tomorrow I will be confirming all the getaway drivers to the outward journey. And we aim to be at the airport for about 3pm to start looking to the check-in desks for offers to get as far as we can.
Meanwhile, I will be constantly still thinking for alternatives to the plan to see if there is an easier way, as this route carries a lot of risks to being stranded on the mainland. But, somehow I seem to be struggling.

Again, if people wish to donate please do, as on Justgiving we are a mere 10% into our total, and in addition to getting the futhest we hope to raise a LOT for charity.

Either way, if you are reading we are glad you are, and now hope you continue until we return from far off lands.

Thanks one more time x

The Right Thing

Even though me and Kini are trekking to unknown areas of the Earth, we need to keep the reminder that this is all for charity!
We have set up a Justgiving webpage, purely for the ease of donating to some worthy causes: Alzheimer's Society and Childreach Intenational.

The Justgiving webpage, donates your pledge (plus Gift Aid if a taxpayer) to the Alzheimer's Society.
You can also donate on our Facebook page, and arrangments can be made to transfer your pledge which will be split fairly between the 2 charities.

The Justgiving URL is: http://www.justgiving.com/nottsjailbreak

Just over a week, before we jump the walls now (and campus is looking more like Guantanemo each day lol!). Also, Kini bought his Robin outfit!

The Message and General Update

We have spoken, to the world of Facebook, to really get our message to the outside world away from these 'prison' walls. If you wish to see it and join, the URL is:

http://www.facebook.com/editevent.php?picture&eid=83598061593&created&new&m=1#/group.php?gid=92682695676

There's not long to go now before we break out of here, but we're still going through the general prison way of life right now, and not arousing suspicion - random contraband searches, trying not to get shanked, keeping shower time to a minimum, exams and random body searches from people that Kini mysteriously enjoys?!?
However, the plan seems to be coming together nicely.

Yesterday, I got my Batman fancy dress while the more organised, yet less attractive half of our entourage hasn't got his. Bad times. Either way, just over a week. Ciao!

The Disguises...

Any experienced Jailbreaker (which we by any means are NOT!) will know that to get away effectively, a cunning disguise is needed. We had a few ideas, but have finally come up with a decision, and will be getting away from here as Batman and Robin. The costumes have yet to be sourced, but unfortunately we were outbid on eBay this morning on a very cheap pair of costumes. Bad times! However, in true Michael Schofield style I have another trick up my sleeve, and will either try again on the online marketplace or speak to a few contacts I have.

So, the main thing here is that IF you are reading, AND on the 9th June you see two guys dressed as Batman and Robin, then if you can donate, or even help them on their way from Nottingham then please do!

In other news, we may have an arranged rendezvous with an anonymous man from the North, to get us to the capital. If so, then this could be our first 100 miles in the bag!

The Funding....

Almost forgot, anyone reading would like to help us on our way you can donate in a number of ways, with all proceeds helping the National Alzheimer's Society, either directly or indirectly:

1. By posting a comment, showing interest to donate.
2. By donating through our justgiving site - to be announced
3. By donating directly to the National Alzheimer's Society
4. By donating directly to us if you see us on your travels (NB. if you do see us on your travels, you can also donate by getting us further from our destination)

An alternative sponsorship is to donate as pence per mile, as it will encourage us to get further!
Thanks
